Parent Organization: Center for Leadership and Student Involvement

Colgate Activities Board (CAB) is the primary vehicle for social programming on campus. CAB events are to be student-initiated, from idea conception to all stages of planning to event execution.

CAB also collaborates with many SGA-, Alana-, and Chaplaincy-recognized student organizations in order to bring a wide diversity of events to campus.

CAB comprises three committees, with applications for membership open to all students:

CAB Late Night: The CAB Late Night committee shows recently released films to students on campus free of charge each Friday and Saturday night of the semester. The committee also holds Midnight Movie screenings in conjunction with the Hamilton Theater. As such, the committee increases the entertainment options available to students on weekends.

Special Events: Students on the Special Events committee work together to bring comedians, hypnotists, study breaks, and other forms of entertainment deemed appropriate to campus. Students also have the opportunity to bring bands and performers to campus. The committee plans concerts, chooses venues, hires openers, and fulfills all rider requests as deemed appropriate by the CLSI Advisor. Members of the Special Events committee will also assist with Spring Party weekend and many of the events/performers that are featured during the weekend.

Donovan’s Pub: The Donovan’s Pub committee works to execute events at Donovan’s Pub. Events range from outside performers such as musical acts and magicians, to events sponsored by student organizations such as stand-up comedy and board game nights.
